jacket and jeans: Old Navy tee: Kohl's rain boots: Wal Mart
I was getting ready to run errands in the rain, hence the boots. Notice that these jeans are, in fact, colored denim, but they're still blue. Baby steps. I found them on the clearance rack and thought, what the heck. We'll see how it goes. They also happen to be ankle length, which I am not used to. Wearing full length pants has been ingrained into me after years of thinking ankle length = high waters. Maybe next time I'll try some leopard print denim! Ok, probably not.
your so funny! they look good! i brought home a green pair of denim (said i'd never buy colored jeans) john said i looked like a leprechaun, i took them back and wish i hadn't. maybe i should try blue :) yeah for stepping out of the comfort box :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't think I'd ever buy them either! I thought about getting a pair in green (since green is my favorite color), but then found these blue ones for $5.97. If I didn't end up liking them, I wouldn't be out much.
DeleteI also started with a blue colored pant..then I moved on to pink and I really had to stop myself from getting a mint colored pair...and orange and everything else. Seriously, once you start, its too hard to stop!!
ReplyDeleteI briefly considered a pair of hot pink because it tends to be a good color for me, but the blue won out mostly because of the price.
DeleteI've been looking at colored pants, but I haven't made the jump! Not yet. Maybe sometime this fall! One fad I will NOT try is neon. I am wayyyyyyy over the neon look.
ReplyDeletePS- Ankle pants with boots is what helped me get used to wearing ankle pants again. That said, wide leg/boot cut are still my favorite!
I am not so into neon either. I *might* try a couple of small accessories, but I don't see myself wearing an actual piece of neon clothing!
