I had the chance to spend a couple of days at my parents' house last week, and spent one of those days thrifting with my mom! We hit 3 Goodwill stores and one other church charity shop. I'm still being pretty choosy about my purchases right now, but did manage to come home with a few items.
This cable knit Talbots cardigan is in pristine condition. I don't think it was ever worn! It's my favorite color (green), the price was right ($3.25), and the fit is great, so I gave it a new home.
I love this tea cup and saucer, but it almost didn't come home with me. I looked at it a few times and put it back on the shelf. Then I realized it was half price. SOLD. It's awfully cute, and maybe we can use it for espresso.
How great is this scarf? I'm having trouble getting the colors in the photo right. The black is actually navy blue. I can't decide if I want to keep it as is and wear it, or turn it into something else (a throw pillow? maybe?).
Have you rescued anything neat from the thrift store lately?
