A Retro Tablecloth for a Retro Table

Ever since we purchased our new dining table last year, I've been meaning to make a cloth to cover it.  The table looks great on its own, but I am very afraid of the top getting scratched.  Fast forward a year and I've finally gotten around to doing something about it! 

The cloth kind of looks like it came from a very groovy children's birthday party that took place in the early 70s.  I love it.  The fabric has been sitting in my stash for who know how long.  I knew it needed to be made into something, it just took a while for me to figure out that it needed to be a tablecloth.  I'm working up a tutorial and hope to have it posted after the Thanksgiving madness has subsided.  We're hosting this year!

    I absolutely love this!! I love tablecloths, but my cats use them as surf boards... As in, they run across the house, jump on the table, and then sliiiiiide off taking everything on top with them. :) Now I just stick to placemats.
